Creative Madness in Song
Composers create songs to poems written by mental-health service users
First launched in 2013 Creative Madness in Song, sees young composers create new songs, from the poems of mental-health service users. The songs are brought to life by singers from the Guildhall School in workshops are performances. We’ve already performed in many hospital settings and other festivals. The next phase of the project is due to start in Autumn 2019, expanding our reach to the Borough of Southwark, and including more departments from the Guildhall School (Music Therapy and Leadership).
We need financial support of up to £10K to make this happen. Please support us using the button below.
This creative project encourages interaction between groups of people who normally would not meet, and increases awareness of both classical music and mental illness.
