One Creation
Challenging terrorism and extremism, with multi-faith artist collaboration
First piloted in 2017, in the St Marylebone Festival, One Creation demonstrates we are all part of one creation, and have nothing to fear from each other. We challenge the fear of terrorism and extremism, by creating new performances pieces by inviting artists and musicians born into different faiths, but not necessarily practising, to choose secular or religious texts and songs from their own heritage on shared themes.
The next phase of the project will premiere a new piece at Southwark Cathedral in early 2020, with musicians from Coptic, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, and Hindu backgrounds, and will also feature the Choir of King's College, London, and The Girls' Choir of Southwark Cathedral.
