Poppy is the Founder of Showcase Creative Studio, whose mission is to champion character and authenticity in the classical music industry. The Studio fosters a fresh energy that honours and Showcases the individuality of artists, creating a space online for artists to be uniquely and wholly themselves. The Studio has created over 200 Artist websites since Poppy began the project out of lockdown. Poppy has grown to lead a team and collaborate with an extensive range of photographers, videographers and other freelancers to lead on her vision. Showcase collaborates with an exceptionally diverse and high level of artists, companies, orchestras, agencies, conductors, and directors worldwide.
Poppy studied as a soprano at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Her performances at the 2021 Grimeborn Festival received a special mention in The Guardian “…a newfound talent”, and awarded her an OFFIE nomination for Best Opera Performance. Poppy did the voice work for the digital horror opera CROCODILE, which is currently being broadcast by Sky Arts. Originating in Hull to health and social worker parents, Poppy is passionate about widening participation in the arts and challenging the inequalities and barriers in the industry. She is particularly passionate about engaging and collaborating with audiences who might otherwise feel excluded.
